As the Smart TV technologies and market mature, more new service and business models appear and Smart TV is expected to become a hub of the integrated Smart Home. In this context, one of the dangers is market fragmentation and lack of interoperability among many of these services. In this presentation, we will see the current state of Smart TV in the global context, its status related to the trend toward Smart Home and Smart Community, and will show why standardization is important for their further growth.
